Paint to chase light...

I paint to pursue the transformative power of light. I am drawn to the glow of backlit trees, the shimmer of water lilies, and the radiance of palm fronds illuminated by the sun. These moments—fleeting yet intense—are where color comes alive.
Inspired by Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Payne, and Erin Hanson, I embrace high-chroma color, expressive brushwork, and thick impasto to convey both structure and emotion. My paintings are built through movement—allowing paint to flow, merge, and respond intuitively on the surface.
Each mark records a moment of presence. The texture of the paint reveals the energy, mood, and experience of being immersed in nature. In this space, where art helps support healing and refuge, light becomes more than a visual language—it becomes a symbol of renewal, resilience, and hope.
I paint for the joy of the process, and for the possibility that beauty can offer both connection and comfort.
