Musa Rosa Art

The seeds of her artistic journey began in her youth, nurtured by a creative family and honed through her school years. The arts became a therapeutic outlet, blooming as she discovered her creative path and purpose. Her growth was stunted in her twenties, buried in other career focuses.

One day, a living tree growing through eight feet of concrete in a parking garage changed her life. This became her place of peace, but one day found it destroyed and desperately propagated the pieces. One surviving trimming rooted her decision to be a career artist. Using jewelry materials and glass mosaics, she created her first artistic tree sculptures in 2021. The tree now stands over 6 feet tall and has had propagated children featured in many of her sculptural works in Galleries in SWFL.

Creative gifts include many aspects of jewelry making, lapidary art, wire wrap, uv resin, painting, mosaic, and framing. The growth of her skills reflects in her art and sculpture works with an infinite possibility of combinations.

She is also the muse to many fine artist works, art model to many non profit schools and art centers, and her own flavor of performance artist in the creative community.

Sculptural storytelling

While Sonia Rosa works in various art forms, her true passion lies in her sculptural works. These pieces showcase her studies of the many trees of life, where gemstone, mineral, and organic materials are woven together to tell their stories. She explores the similarities in symbolism and spirituality through these intricate creations.
