Global Perspectives

Rose Jung's art mirrors life in all its complexities. Living in Southwest Florida, she views her art as an expression of global changes and the importance of recycling, reusing, and re-purposing materials. Her work is influenced by current political, social, and environmental climates, as well as her extensive travels to Asia, Europe, and her years living on the Micronesian and Hawaiian islands of the South Pacific.

Rose Jung attended the Universities of Connecticut and Hawaii, receiving a Master of Fine Arts in Theater. She enjoys nature photography and creates assemblage art, incorporating used items into her pieces. Her conceptional art focuses on ideas and purposes, characterized by the use of different media and supports, along with a variety of temporary everyday materials and “ready-made objects.”
