"Degrees of Abstraction"
Donna Kollar
This series of works by Donna Kollar explores the interplay of color, shape and form in striking abstract compositions. Her works span a spectrum of pure abstraction to pieces that hint at representation, inviting viewers to experience a range of visual ideas that are both timeless and accessible.
A New Yorker and South West Florida, snowbird Kollar is classically trained, holding Fine Art degrees from Fashion Institute of Technology and Queens College in NYC. Her distinguished career includes work as an art educator and the Principal of Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, a high school for the arts founded by Tony Bennett.
Kollar’s art aims to engage the viewer’s imagination and encourage personal interpretation. On a variety of surfaces, she focuses on bold dynamic composition to create pieces that are thought-provoking and visually compelling.
