"All Things Florida"
Shah Hadjebi
Shah Hadjebi is an award-winning contemporary artist, known primarily for his realistic watercolor paintings. He is a full-time artist based in Southwest Florida (specifically Sanibel Island and Fort Myers). He is a master watercolorist, often noted for his careful attention to detail and "magical" use of color. He describes watercolor as a "spiritual medium”.
His subject matter is diverse, ranging widely to include Florida Nature and Wildlife: This includes local flora and fauna such as pelicans, egrets, ibises, and spoonbills at wildlife sanctuaries to
classic automobiles, boats, motorcycles and of course architecture: He specializes in commissioned paintings of vintage cars, such as a 1957 Chevy or a Model T Ford Truck, Architecture and Urban Scenes.
Shah has collaborated and had solo exhibitions on projects featuring iconic architecture and gritty urban scenes from places like Miami Beach and New York City's Chinatown. His main goal is to "bring some presence and mindfulness into this hectic world" through his art.
Hadjebi comes from a family of artists, architects, and designers. He received his BA from Syracuse University and initially pursued music before realizing painting was his most authentic passion.
His work is displayed in galleries in Southwest Florida, such as the Arts for ACT Gallery, Tower Gallery and the Bokeelia Art Gallery.
