“Glimpses of the Astral” Exhibit Statement

In this collection Acosta aims not at imitating reality as it is but at exploring the world of the subconscious the realm of dreams; where images don't necessary make sense.  The inexplicable place where objects as characters from distant eras and places play together, as if they existed on the same period or place. The mysterious esoteric symbolism that evokes an idea or a period of our lives or our most lucid dreams.  His pieces often take you to an abandoned, but beautiful place that were ignored in between relevant events, but are now understood.
